My approach is quiet. I observe more than I direct, editorial in instinct, documentary in practice, and I'd rather catch a true moment than manufacture a beautiful one.
But the work starts before the wedding: this is a collaboration, and I want to actually know the two of you, what you're like on a Sunday morning, what makes you laugh, so the photographs couldn't belong to anyone else.
The honest truth is I feel the day while I photograph it. I read rooms. I absorb what's moving through them, the nerves, the joy, the undercurrent, and all of it ends up in the gallery.
The energy we bring to your day, you and I together, is what the photographs will hold.

For couples who want the whole arc of the day documented: getting ready to dance floor.
Up to ten hours of coverage; most days land around nine. I usually start two to three hours before the ceremony and stay until about one hour after the dance floor opens.

For couples whose day doesn't need ten hours, just the right ones.
Everything about how I work stays the same, the eye, the calm, the gallery; we simply choose which six hours matter most. For most half days that's the ceremony, portraits, and the first real stretch of the celebration.

Perfect for weddings with over 100 guests, or where double getting ready coverage is needed.
$100/hour, four-hour minimum
A chance to work together before the wedding and make some good photos without the time pressure of the day itself.
$550 when booked with a wedding collection
A few rolls (min. 3) shot alongside the digital coverage. Grain, glow, and a little imperfection, mixed into your gallery.

I am based on the sunshine coast
And I'd happily photograph here forever, but some of the best days of this job have started with a ferry, a floatplane, or an early flight. Vancouver and the Sea to Sky, the Island, the Interior, the Rockies, and honestly, if you're getting married somewhere I need a passport for, I want to hear about it.

Travel is quoted plainly in your proposal - one number that covers getting me there and back, no surprise line items. Tell me where, and I'll tell you what it takes.

Q. Full day or half day, how do we choose?
Rough guide: if you want getting-ready and the dance floor both held, that's the full day. If the heart of your day fits in six hours, a half day covers it beautifully. If you're genuinely unsure, that's what the call is for; most couples know within one conversation.
Q. Do you have a payment plan?
Yes. A retainer holds your date, and the rest can split into instalments; tell me what works and we'll write it into the contract.
Q. How many photographs do we get?
On average, I deliver 75-100 photos per hour of coverage. Enough to tell the whole day; I don't cap a gallery to hit a number.
Q. Can we give you a shot list?
Family groupings, yes, please. Beyond that, trust the watching; it's most of what you're hiring.
Q. Do you travel beyond the Sunshine Coast?
Gladly. Travel on the coast is already included; beyond it, costs are quoted plainly in your proposal, no mystery fees.
